Lit fest and other thoughts

Spent the last couple of days in Jaipur at the lit fest. This was a first for me so I’m going to allow the novelty of the event to override everything and I’m going to say that it was a ‘fun’ experience. That’s also because of the fact that I spent more time in meeting people than actually attending talks, although that might be the point of the whole event to begin with.

The whole affair did help me with one thing though- it helped me get back the motivation to write again. How, you might ask, has attending the fest given me motivation? To put it very simply, it gave me hope. Hope that I could enter and get assimilated in a group with shared interests. It’s not like I’m not a part of circles right now. There are plenty already, so much so that I have difficulties in saying no and managing my participation. This one’s difference though – this has more to do with acquired skills and interests, something that is uniquely different from all the other circles that I am a part of.

Now I’m gonna get back to The Self Illusion.
