Time tampering

The last few days have felt as if someone took a hold of the remote that controls time and went to town with the fast forward button. And went to town how!

The lit fest and all the fun that was had in it feels like a small, blurry and mostly inconspicuous speck in the rear view mirror. It feels like a memory from last year or a couple of years before that.

Funny how it works – time.

When we get educated, we learn that time is this constantly moving, unstoppable force that cannot be tamed or be reasoned with.

Then self education through extra curricular reading happens, and we learn that time in fact, can be bent and be somewhat traversed. Atleast theoretically. If you google enough, you’ll find out that if you kept flying all your life around Earth, then you would actually age slower than your friends on the ground. It’s got to do with Time Dilation and Twin Paradox and other such mind-numbing stuff.

Then further self education happens, this time with the assistance of  … err… substances, and you learn that time can actually be tamed. Time is as much a slave to our perceptions and that thin layer that coats our brains (that largely differentiates us from the monkeys, including the ones who can’t parallel park) as much as everything else that we experience in life.

It can be bent, slowed down, fast forwarded, turned into a whirlpool and anything else that you fancy. You don’t even need any external substances to power your time-control powers; Simple adrenaline can do the job just about right. It’s called Tachypsychia. Fancy shit.

So that explains why the lit fest road trip feels like a last life memory – busy work week! 😀
